Job Summary
We are looking for an energetic Afternoon Assistant Teacher to join our team! As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist the classroom teacher with classroom duties and instruction. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for teaching!
Responsibilities:
- Assist students individually and in small groups
- Supervise students in the classroom and elsewhere in the school
- Enforce classroom rules and procedures as indicated by Administration team and head teacher
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records
- Communicate with parents and school personnel as requested by the head teacher
- Ensure Open or Closing pressures are done correctly
- Always maintain ratio in classroom
- Learn Procare system, for loggings of students activities during the day
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 18 Years old
- Previous experience as a teaching assistant
- Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
- Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic and positive attitude
- Ability to pass a background check
Compensation: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
